Nymeria and Ariel arrived at the centre after Nymeria began showing signs of stress in their previous home.
Initially, both girls found it difficult to settle into the cattery environment. However, with time, patience, and gentle encouragement, their confidence is growing. They’re beginning to enjoy the company of their new human friends and are starting to seek out occasional fuss and affection.
In their previous home, the stress led to inappropriate toileting behaviour, which we believe was caused by stress-induced cystitis. To support their health, they are currently on a urinary care diet along with supplements. Since coming into our care, there have been no further signs of cystitis, and in the right, calm home environment, they may potentially be weaned off this specialist diet in the future.
