Minty's story
Minty was discovered alone in filthy conditions, suffering from hair loss, pressure sores, and an injury to his tail. After his rescue, Minty moved to our Felledge Animal Centre, where the kind staff cared for him and continued his rehabilitation. Minty’s condition improved greatly, and once the centre's vet signed him off, he was put up for adoption and happily rehomed.
It’s thanks to supporters like you that we were able to rescue and rehome Minty, giving him the better future he deserved. Will you help us give more animals the care and second chance they need this winter?
Thanks to supporters like you, the RSPCA and RSPCA Branches rehomed 811 animals in the North East last year.*

In Wales, we’re expecting more than xxx reports of neglect this winter
See the difference your donations make
Be part of something bigger this Christmas. With every donation, you join the team rescuing and treating the worst cases of neglect and abandonment. Meet some of the animals we've already saved from neglect, from sweet Staffy Nova to bonded siblings Dante and Beatrice.
It’s a miracle that Nova survived
Puppy Nova was close to dying when our rescuer found her: collapsed, barely breathing, on a dirty bed in a kitchen corner. We rushed her to a vet. A staff member at the practice said it was “The worst case” they had seen. But thanks to donations from people like you, Nova survived. She’s now adored by her new owner and loves to play on the beach.

Reports of neglect rose 26% last year*
Right now, more animals are being abandoned without food or water, left to suffer in pain. Every 10 minutes we get another call about an abandoned animal**. As a charity, the RSPCA is independent of government. We rely on public donations to rescue animals in desperate need. Rescue efforts, vet treatments and everyday care – it’s all possible thanks to donors like you.
