  • The Animal Journey programme improves the journey of animals in our care by enabling timely, evidence-based decisions that prioritise wellbeing, reduce length of stay, and deliver the best possible outcomes.
  • The Investigations and Prosecutions Operating Model streamlines end-to-end investigations to deliver a more efficient and cost-effective process that improves outcomes, reduces organisational risk, and enhances welfare for case animals.
  • Delivering changes to our estate, including building a new site in the North of England and delivering alternative service provision in the South.
  • Animal 360 is a transformation programme replacing ageing systems with modern, cloud-based platforms, with the goal of strengthening welfare oversight and improving long-term outcomes.

Change activity

  • We’re exploring Salesforce Experience Cloud and progressing Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud to enhance online engagement, deliver more personalised experiences, and strengthen our system and data capabilities. 
  • Through the branches rebrand, we will continue to implement the updated brand, strengthening consistency while increasing visibility.
  • Through brand and mass fundraising investment, we’ll explore opportunities to grow supporter engagement and reach more people to inspire support for animal welfare.

Change activity

The Animal Welfare Evidence Centre will strengthen understanding of the factors shaping animal welfare, enhancing how we and the wider sector can design and deliver effective interventions. It will strengthen sector effectiveness in preventing cruelty and neglect, deepen insight into public, media and political attitudes to drive cultural change, and apply a systemic lens to highlight the links between animal welfare, social issues and environmental sustainability.
