Instructions
Educate on healthier diets
Healthier diet for hedgehogs
Hedgehogs are prone to health issues as a result of drinking milk. Investigate the problems this causes for them - and why offering water is the kinder, healthier choice.

Healthier diet for waterfowl
Feeding bread to waterfowl is a popular tradition. Investigate the problems this causes for both the birds and the environment (if the bread is left uneaten). Instead, try feeding them: Oats, peas (fresh or frozen/thawed), lettuce, seeds, or cooked rice.

Promote community action
Educate others through leadership and action. Choose one of the following tasks:
- Lead by Example: Take healthier food to a local waterfowl area and offer families the opportunity to feed the birds with these better alternatives.
- Support Your Local Wildlife: Encourage your neighbours, or people in your network, to put out water for hedgehogs when it is needed most. Alternatively, help people in your community that may not be able to help wildlife themselves.
