Make seeded apples for birds

Help birds eat healthily all year round with this fun activity.

Last edited: 21/03/2025

Before you get started

Why this is important

Seeded apples provide year-round nourishment for birds, helping them through key seasons:

  • Spring: Extra food supports birds feeding their young.
  • Summer: Dry ground makes natural food harder to find.
  • Autumn: Birds moult, replace feathers, and prepare for winter.
  • Winter: Extra energy helps them survive the cold and get ready for nesting.
