Why this is important

Every pet deserves to feel safe, warm, and cared for, especially during the colder months. The RSPCA Pet Food Bank Partnership works with local food banks and community organisations to make sure animals have everything they need, from food and toys to warm blankets. By helping to share these essentials, we can make a big difference to animals and the people who love them.

Create a blanket

Choose your materials

Use soft, pet-safe yarn e.g., wool, acrylic or cotton.

Find a pattern

There are lots of free knitting and crochet tutorials online.

You can find your own or watch one here.

Note: Ensure your knit is tightly woven (no large holes so paws don’t get caught!).
