Walk to Remember: a community of support
In 2025, hundreds of people came together through Walk to Remember to honour their beloved pets, share memories and pet grief stories and raise more than £39,000 for animals in need. Together, they created a powerful reminder that no one should have to face pet grief alone.

Holly took part in Walk to Remember after losing her dog, Fred
Fred was a faithful friend, a biscuit buddy and Holly's entire world for 15 years. Even after losing his sight and hearing, he never lost his love of life. When he passed away in May 2025, Holly was devastated.
"I was and still am truly heartbroken”, says Holly. “He's left a huge Fred-shaped hole in my heart."
Taking part in Walk to Remember gave Holly and her family a chance to come together and celebrate Fred's life

Remembering pets through the places they loved
Katie chose a forest walk in Caldy to remember the pets she’s lost, including her dog Moss, who had loved exploring there when he was younger. The real-life version of Dug from Pixar's Up, Moss was a gentle dog with beautiful brown eyes, a love of cuddles and a passion for chasing balls – especially ones he found on walks!
More than 900 people raised £39,320 walking in their pets’ memory for animals in need.
Connecting with others who understand
Ella took part in Walk to Remember after losing her cat Sophie, who had been by her side since she was six years old. "I don't remember life before her," says Ella. A constant companion for 17 years, Sophie was her best friend. "I’m so lonely without her, and I feel like people just don't understand." When she discovered Walk to Remember, Ella felt immediately drawn to it. "When I saw this walk advertised, I knew I had to do it for her and for me."
